Terms of Service

Welcome to TaskLens. These terms (“Terms”) form a legal agreement between you and Virstack (“we”, “our”, or “us”) and govern your use of the TaskLens mobile app and related services (together, the “Service”). By installing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use TaskLens. If you are under the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and accepted these Terms on your behalf.

2. Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• Notify us promptly at info@virstack.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or harmful purpose.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where permitted by law.
• Interfere with or disrupt our servers, networks, or other users’ access to the Service.
• Upload content that infringes intellectual property, contains malware, or violates the rights of others.
• Use automated tools to access the Service in a way that imposes an unreasonable load.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.

4. Subscriptions and payments

TaskLens offers optional premium features through subscription plans. Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and managed by RevenueCat on our behalf.

• Billing: subscriptions auto-renew at the price disclosed at purchase until you cancel.
• Cancellation: you can cancel at any time through your App Store or Play Store subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Free trials: if you are offered a free trial, you must cancel before it ends to avoid being charged.
• Refunds: refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective policies. We cannot issue refunds directly for store-processed purchases.
• Price changes: we may change subscription pricing. Existing subscriptions continue at their current price until the next renewal, at which point the new price applies (with prior notice).

5. Your content

Tasks, categories, profile settings, and any other content you create remain yours. By using the Service you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, transmit, and process your content solely to operate the Service for you (for example, syncing your tasks across devices and generating AI-driven follow-ups based on your tasks).

6. AI-generated content

TaskLens generates motivational, follow-up, and hydration messages using AI. These messages are produced automatically and may occasionally be inaccurate, repetitive, or unhelpful. You should not rely on AI-generated content for medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice.

7. Notifications

With your permission, the Service sends local and AI-driven notifications: task reminders, motivational messages, hydration prompts, and engagement nudges. You can adjust the frequency or disable any category at any time from Profile → Notifications, or in your device’s system settings.

8. Intellectual property

The TaskLens app, brand, logos, designs, and underlying software are the intellectual property of Virstack and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose while you comply with these Terms.

9. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third-party providers including Google, Apple, and RevenueCat. Your use of those providers is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

10. Disclaimers

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Virstack, its affiliates, or its personnel be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any direct damages shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Virstack harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

13. Termination

• You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
• We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.
• Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits) will continue to apply.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date and, where the changes are material, notify you in-app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the State of Delaware for the resolution of any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
